Freeway Commerce has become a leading supplier of EDI and ecommerce solutions to the UK Publishing Industry, working with some of the largest names in publishing to reduce their EDI costs, improve the quality of their support and to increase their flexibility. As Spectrum handles so many different communications methods (EDI, E-mail, FTP, Internet etc), it offers far more flexibility than existing packages which ordinarily only handle EDI. In addition, different message standards such as TRADACOMS, EDIFACT, X12 and XML are all handled through a single user interface with the back office software; new trading partners are added without further integration costs being incurred. The influence of Freeway in the sector is rapidly spreading further and Freeway are delighted to count such prestigious companies as valued clients.

Freeway are also actively involved members of BIC (Book Industry Communication www.bic.org.uk) and supplies solutions which conform with the BIC guidelines for Tradacoms and Edifact (EDITEUR) messages.

The first winners of the accreditation award announced in September 2005 include 3 of Freeway's customers in the publishing sector; Littlehampton Books, Random House (Distribution) and Macmillan Distribution.
