CounterAct by Border Merchant Systems is a complete software system written specifically for builders', timber and plumbers' merchants. CounterAct is a complete merchant solution, offering both counter and direct sales, quotations, price book, stock control, buying, accounts and management information. It is an easy to learn and use system that is trusted by merchants all over the country from small family run single site businesses to large multi branch organisations.

Border Merchant Systems (BMS) was formed in 1990 by a group of merchants as a support company. This culture of support has stayed with us ever since, always providing a support service that is second to none. We survey all our customers every two years for their feedback and in the last return, 89% of customers rated our support service as very good or excellent. (The other 11% said it was good.) Through the survey, telephone support and the annual user meeting our users play a key role in the ongoing development of CounterAct.

BMS can provide a complete solution including hardware, software, installation and training as well as existing data conversion. CounterAct is highly configurable to the customers individual needs with many control file options that can be turned on or off as required. This means that a new user can start off with the simplest configuration and turn on more features as they become more confident or their business needs develop.

CounterAct includes EDI facilities that integrate with Freeways Spectrum Professional. We have a proven track record in partnership with Freeway in providing a fully functioning EDI solution to our customers.
