EDI for suppliers in Eire
In recent years there has been a push by many of the leading retailers in Ireland to implement EDI with their suppliers, particularly lead by Dunnes and Musgraves Supervalu. Irish retailers have been gaining in strength, a point highlighted by the recent acquisition of UK retailer, Budgens, by the Musgraves group based in Cork.
Unlike the UK EDI market, where the predominant EDI standard is TRADACOMS, the Irish retailers generally use EDIFACT standards, and any proposed EDI solution needs to cater fully for this and obviously the EURO (€) currency. Indeed, many of the retailers are now adopting the same standards in attempt to reduce EDI configuration issues with their suppliers.
Freeway has many of it's customers already trading with retailers in Ireland, and has been working in partnership with Tesco in Ireland to implement the lowest-cost EDI solutions ever seen there. Priced from just €950, Freeway are offering Spectrum EDI software and mailboxes for a fixed, all-inclusive price, and have launched the first self-installed EDI software application available in Eire.
Freeway's Spectrum applications offer both standalone and integrated EDI capability for suppliers to all of the following companies and more:
