JD Wetherspoon has grown from a single pub in 1979 to now operating over 640 outlets nationwide. They have a commitment to comfortable, music-free pubs, offering excellent beer, all-day food and first-class service.

Following the replacement of their previous EDI solution they are now in a position to maximise the benefits of EDI by expanding their use of it with their key suppliers. Their expansion program has been operating since March 2004 and they would like to be receiving live invoice data from their suppliers as soon as they are able.

JD Wetherspoon conducted an investigation of the EDI market and selected Freeway as their preferred partner to manage the roll-out of EDI to their suppliers. Freeway's Spectrum software will handle the transfer of information via user-friendly package loaded onto a Windows PC. The same software can also be used with other companies operating in this sector for whom EDI or XML-based trading is a requirement.
