Odette

Odette standards have been developed by Odette International (see www.Odette.org ), initially on behalf of the Automotive Industry.

The Odette standards are similar in structure to UN/EDIFACT messages, and involve the use of messages designed to meet the supply and logistics challenges often peculiar to the Automotive Industry, but now adopted in some other (mainly industrial) sectors.

The VDA (Verband Der Automobilinustrie, www.vda.de) have also set up similar standards used mainly by German companies in the Automotive Industry and their suppliers.
