Pets at Home

Cheshire-based pets retailer Pets at Home specialises in supplying pets and petcare products thoughout the UK, generally in out-of-town superstore locations.

Traditionally, Pets at Home has exchanged EDI orders through a Value Added Network but has recently announced that it will be replacing this with delivery of its purchase order messages via AS2. It will also shortly be receiving invoices from suppliers this way as well.

Freeway, as a leading supplier of AS2 solutions to suppliers of ASDA, Compass and Mitchells & Butlers, already has the technology solution in place to handle Pets at Home's requirements. Existing suppliers using Freeway's Spectrum or Spectrum Professional products will be offered an upgrade to allow them to replace their VAN connection with an AS2 link instead. Any other suppliers may also benefit from this product should their current provider not support this transmission method.
