TRADACOMSWho developed TRADACOMS?The TRADACOMS EDI standard was originally developed by the ANA (Article Number Association), pre-cursor of the standards organisation, now known as e-centre. (www.ecentre.org.uk) TRADACOMS stands for the Trading Data Communications Standard. Designed for the UKTRADACOMS standards were designed for use in the UK, and are the most commonly used message formats for EDI in the UK. Although it covers a similar range to the UN/EDIFACT standard data published by the United Nations, TRADACOMS use different structures within the messages. The TRADACOMS standard comprises over 30 message types covering all of the most common commercial transactions. The Future of TRADACOMSTRADACOMS is now slowly being replaced by UN/EDIFACT or XML message formats, one of the primary reasons being the lack of support for multiple currency transactions For more information on how our range of Spectrum software can help you communicate with your trading partners using the TRADACOMS standard, call Freeway on 01772 646060.
