When XKO completed the purchase of ARAN, a company offering similar solutions to customers operating in similar markets, they found that Freeway was already the recommended EDI provider, and these users have now been brought into the fold at XKO as well.

In the past, XKO struggled to integrate EDI solutions due to the complex interfaces presented by typical EDI software packages. This has now changed, with simpler, single flat file interfaces now used between Freeway's Spectrum Professional software and their packages. Freeway is able to manage the EDI messaging requirements leaving XKO with far fewer technical issues to worry about.

Freeway and XKO have now developed interfaces for many message types, including sales orders, invoices and credits, order acknowledgements, purchase orders and purchase invoices. Indeed, for users requiring a full purchasing solution, XKO's Xeres product offer automated Purchase Invoice Matching to greatly reduce the manual effort of processing incoming invoices prior to payment.
